I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.

Cat and Lindy's questions

From Cat – asking everyone the same question that was asked of me several years ago...What four people (and their spouse/partner), living or dead, would you invite for an evening of drinks and dinner?

Hands down I’d want my parents back for a dinner, and I’d want LJ and Mollie there so I could show my folks how wonderfully they turned out. I think I’d also invite two of my aunts who were very important to me growing up. They’ve both been gone around thirty years. That’s one dinner.

My last two I’d like to meet and talk with would be Laura and Almanzo Wilder. There are thousands of people I’d like to meet from the millions that have been here, but with most I’d be too nervous and in awe of them to enjoy myself. But with Laura, I’ve read so much about her life, both her books and those writing about her. I’d love to tell her of life now and how things are done. I’d love for her to know her books are still being read. I’d love to take her to a grocery store, and for a plane ride and to schools and libraries. I guess this would be a little ambitious for a dinner, but it would be so much fun.

Lindy asked -
PK if your Cassie books were made into a movie who would you cast as the characters? Especially Cassie and Tom.

Cassie is easy as can be. In my mind she looks like Ellen Burstyn. Here are a couple of picture that make me think of her.

Now Tom, that’s much harder. There is definitely some Tom Selleck in there maybe a little Sam Elliott too – although Tom is clean shaven.

But this is the picture I’ve found that looks the most like Tom. I don’t know who it is. If you do, please tell me. But this is Cassie’s man.

If you'd like to see the whole cast - go here, and tell me what you think.

Lindy's last questions was: What's the best part of TTWD you enjoy?

That one's easy too. When we actually doing it, I most like the closeness it brings us. We actually look at one another more, we talk more, we smile across a crowd and know what the other is thinking. We make little jokes that no one else would get. We could be out and he brushed his hand lightly across my butt and I feel like I'm his. It's just that we don't really do TTWD very much and I wish we did.

  2. Hi Pk, I love Tom Selleck. Very nice, no idea who the others are. I am not usually a fan of Tom but now I will picture him as Tom Selleck that will do the trick

    1. Oh good, I always like it when I can get people to like Tom. Many don't.

  3. Loved reading your answers PK. I think who who have pictured to play Cassie is a good choice. I picture Tom as having grey hair but I don't see Tom as him, maybe a little of Sam Elliott (that's just me) No idea who the other guy is. Be interested in finding out. Hope someone comes up with a name.

    Love,
    Ronnie

    1. Thanks Roz. These are the looks I have in my head as I write. And although I can see Lily perfectly in my head I can't find a corresponding picture. Haven't really found Cal either.

  5. Thank you Pk for answering my questions. love the pictures of Cassie (Ellen Burstyn) and Tom especially that last one. Dreamy! From now on when I read your Cassie books I can picture them in my mind. They would make a lovely couple.
Your second answer is wonderful. Love how TTWD brings all that to you and Nick when you are into it. Wish it was more often for you.
The guests to your dinner party would be awesome. Can't say I've heard of Laura Wilder, will have to google her.
You've made my day brighter with your answers.

    Hugs Lindy xx

    2. If you've never read the Little House books you really need to! I was married before I read them and I still re-read them occasionally. You might start with On the Banks of Plumb Creek. They are just great.

    1. Yep, you can see why women of all ages scope Tom out even when he's with Cassie.

  8. PK I googled the last image of your Tom. His name is Joe Kloenne and he's a male model. Scrumptious!

I respectfully disagree the picture of Tom is American cowboy actor Sam Eliott married to Katherine Ross. He is voice of Smokey the Bear and started acting in Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid. Mostly known for his television movies Tombstone, Buffalo Girls and others.

  11. I was in DeSmet, South Dakota last year and stopped by the Wilder farm house. As I understand it, Caroline finally put her foot down with Charles and told him that DeSmet was where they were staying and they are buried there. Apparently Charles wasn't the most successful farmer. While I was there, I found a book that tells the real story of Little House on the Prairie, since Laura was writing it for children, she cleaned it up A LOT!!! But if you are interested in reading the "real" story the book is called, "Pioneer Girl".

Oh and one last piece of info I learned concerning spanking - remember when Pa spanked Laura for slapping Mary when Mary said something mean to her? Apparently Laura thought that was very unfair and hadn't really gotten over it. That gave me a giggle.

  12. Thanks Cygnet, I love everything Little House and I do home to visit DeSmet and Rocky Ridge farm some day. I've read Pioneer and the series about Rose and the books written about Ma's childhood. I keep looking for more.

  13. Hi PK, I'm doing a bit of catching up here. I saw a couple of episodes of Little House on the Prairie on TV but have never read the books. Maybe something to do when I finally get to retire.
I love your choice for playing Tom in a movie - thanks to Lindy for her sleuthing so we can get more eye candy! You know I'm not a fan of Tom's but I think I could spend a day with him in that guise, as long as I were on my best behaviour of course.
