Welcome to Saturday Spankings! I hope everyone’s summer is getting off to a wonderful start. In today’s snippet from Suspicions on the River, Cassie is enjoying leisurely telling one of her stories to the girls.
The breakfast was wonderful, eggs and bacon, waffles and fresh fruit. Cassie and Sue enjoyed their mimosas while the rest drank orange juice or Coke. The moment the waiters took away the last dish all three young girls pinned Cassie with a look.
“Alright, Mom, let’s hear it,” Allie insisted.
“Fine, fine,” Cassie said. “Now where was I?”
“You were full of liquid courage and ready to tell Tom he was not the boss of you. Go!” Jenny jumped in.
Cassie laughed. “I didn’t realize you were memorizing this. Okay, at the end of the afternoon, I was back in the room waiting for Tom, like a good little wife. He was done with his meetings for the day and he eyed me curiously when he came in. He knew how angry I’d been that morning. I gave him my sweetest smile and a kiss. I think that only made him more suspicious.
“He gave me another curious look, but I got a kiss and went to take his shower. I was completely ready, except for my dress. The second that bathroom door shut, I took off my robe and slipped my dress on. I felt it was time to make my stand and let Tom know he would not be controlling my comings and goings for the rest of my life.” Cassie chuckled along with the rest. “You see how well that worked out,” she moaned.
“I left him a note saying, ‘You’re not the boss of me.’ And I added that I’d see him at dinner, so he wouldn’t think I’d really run away. I did that occasionally back then.”
“Occasionally?” Annie snorted. Cassie ignored her.
“I didn’t go to the big cocktail party in the ballroom. There were always many to choose from in various rooms, too many for Tom to check them all. Dinner was to be served at seven, so at ten till I started that way, drink in hand. I’d gone in the side door and spotted Tom before he saw me. He had a serious expression on his face as he turned and caught sight of me. As he stalked my way I quickly gulped the rest of my drink, knowing I probably wouldn’t have the chance for another. Tom closed the gap, frowning at the way I downed my drink.
I was hoping he’d learned his lesson about being so bossy. So you can imagine my consternation when his first full sentence to me as we danced was, ‘I’m going to wear you out.’
“‘You are not!’ I just about hissed at him. ‘I have the right to leave my room anytime I like and you can’t stop me.’ I wanted to stomp my foot and declare ‘so there!’ but I stopped myself.
“Tom told me, ‘You’re wrong on several points, my dear. I think we need a more private place for this discussion.’ I had no desire to go back to our suite with him at that moment, but there was little I could do without creating a scene.
“When we got back to the room, I started first with, ‘Now you just listen to me. You are not going to spank me. You spanked me this morning for this same stupid thing. So you just stop.’
“He answered with, ‘Evidently I didn’t get my point across this morning.’
“‘Don’t you see?’ I snapped at him. ‘Spanking doesn’t work for me. You need to stop!’
“His only reply to that was, ‘I promise to be much more effective this time.’”
“I was protesting, of course, all the way to the bedroom. And somewhere between my shouts of, ‘No! Stop! Wait! Listen!’ I was over Tom’s lap. And after an extremely short warm-up he reached for that damn brush.
“His speech went something like, ‘Let’s get something straight right now. Yes, I am the boss of you. I am your husband and I am now responsible for your well-being. I have told you on several occasions that I don’t feel comfortable with you running around a hotel alone.’
“I did manage not to reach back as I pleaded with him to stop, promising I’d listen to him and do as he asked. He stopped and rubbed the back of the brush against my scorched rear, saying, ‘Do you understand Cassie? Let me repeat, I am the ‘boss of you’ when it comes to your safety. I’m your husband and I am going to keep you safe. When you fight me on this, I’m going to wear you out every time. If you don’t understand I can continue.’
“Of course I told him he didn’t have to continue, that I would definitely listen. To be honest I had very little intention of listening at that time, but I was no fool. For the immediate future, that was until he’d put that damn brush down, I was in complete agreement.”
Cassie stopped and drained her drink, before saying, “Then he dropped another bomb shell.”
“That’s not the end?” Allie asked.
“She hasn’t even gotten to the good part yet,” Sue chuckled.
Suspicions on the River,
Book Three
(a Cassie’s family story)
Cal and Jenny have a nearly idyllic marriage. There are rare trips across his lap for minor problems, but most of those trips are just for fun. Could that be changing? Pat, Cal’s former lover, has moved back to town and she wouldn’t mind giving it another try with Cal. She feels he can’t be serious about this little twit that he married so quickly. Pat feels that once Cal realizes she offers him a better option, he’ll choose her. But soon mysterious things begin happening to Pat. Is someone trying to run her out of town? Could that someone be Jenny?
Cassie and the whole river family try to keep Jenny occupied and out of trouble, but suspicions just go from bad to worse. Both Jenny and Pat want Cal and they’re willing to fight for him. How dirty will this fight get?
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.

Oh goodness, Tom was definitely serious! There's more to the story? I have a theory where this is going. Can't wait to see if I'm right lol 😊 I do love it when Cassie tells her stories.
