I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Quick post

I'm home - we had a fantastic time at the lake, truly amazing, but I'm not used to being away from my computer and I feel I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm really hitting the ground running. Today I'm helping Mollie in her new classroom, tomorrow we are moving her to her new apartment.

I start back to school next Tuesday - ack!! How did that happen? I don't mind going back, not really, I'm ready to start and finish this last year. Some changes have occurred, I'm no longer teamed with Mr. K. The woman put with us is a little more chatty than I like, but no real problem.

It does seem like everything happens at once. Classrooms to get ready, Mollie's move means my house is turned upside down as the staging area, I have a new book coming out and barely time to promote it (but I'll find the time for that!), a family birthday party this weekend - 2 year old great niece. And I would like a little time to post - in spite of all the chaos and people we've had around there his even been a tiny bit of spanking. Not nearly as much as was needed, I get bitchy when we have lots of people around and especially when I'm cooking for them. I lose my sense of humor and snap at Nick. He never seemed to notice, but if we could have snuck in just a few pops at this time it would have really helped.

Soon we'll be empty nesters again then we'll see how things progress.

  1. Hi PK, :) I am WAY behind everything around here in the land. Don't you worry a bit about being away from your computer. :)

I'm so glad that your reunion, time with all of your kids, and time at the lake were wonderful! It is so mice to have everyone around on those occasions. Hope you had lots of fun even if Nick could have "helped you out" a bit more. It is very hard with a house full of people around.

How fun for Molly that she has joined her mother in the teaching field, and that she has you to help her get going. I'm sure that she is very excited about her new place, and you must be too.

Enjoy your last school year. I hope that it is such a nice year to end your career on- especially since you have a new principal around. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. As fast as this summer has flown by, so will the school year I bet! Then you can be a writer in residence!

I hope that you empty nesters have a wonderful fall! ;) I miss you! Many hugs,

    <3 Katie

    1. I really enjoyed everyone - I'm very close to some cousins and I did have all my kids around. But you're right there was no privacy.

Mollie and I had a ball today - buying for her apartment, just things like toilet paper, paper towels, 409 - yet it was exciting.

I'm planning on enjoying this last year and yes I do hope the year goes as quickly as this summer has - at least I think I do.

    PK,
I know you will agree. August is a month of Sundays waiting and waiting for school to begin. Summer is so precious and dear. Hooray for Molly, the first year teacher. Isn't this your swan song? And then there is that empty nest!

    1. Yep - August is one long Sunday afternoon when you teach. But it should be a good year. I feel like I can just concentrate on teaching and not worry about all the 'other' stuff. Yes this is the last year and I couldn't be more thrilled!

  3. My comment was eaten by blogger!!!!!! Grrrrrr.
Exciting things happening in your lives! Mollie teaching and you can help her. She's moving, but not far! And you have only one year left to teach!!!
Lol to your new partner being chatty..... I can be myself a bit chatty!
It's wonderful to have company, but the work and our own expectations can make us crabby!
Maybe the empty nest will create a new exciting journey with even more TTWD!

  5. I can only imagine how busy things are. I always say a prayer for teachers towards the end of summer. Where we are, you know summer is ending when the big trucks carrying tomatoes are passing by. Talk to Nick about needing a little something. Ty gets in a place where he is "afraid" to touch me, compares me to a snake of sorts that he doesn't want the fangs to come out, when I get testy, stressed, or overwhelmed. Hang in there. And thanks for being a teacher.

    1. I have no doubt Nick feels the same way about me, I don't think it would occur to him to try and spank me when I'm in a 'mood'. You're sweet, teaching has been a good career for me and I think I'll enjoy this year most of all.

  6. Oh PK,it's all exciting stuff. Mollie's move and new job, last year at school, new book. No wonder there isn't much time for spanking, you just wait when that nest is empty.....

  9. Hi PK, glad you had such a wonderful time with the family.

Goodness, a lot going on. All the best with Mollie's move and wishing her the best as she embarks on her career. It's wonderful that she has you for support. Hope you both have a great teaching year.

  10. Hi PK, sounds like a great end to your summer holidays. Enjoy the last few days before you return to school and being empty nesters. Takes a while to get used to but it is fun. Good luck to Mollie's first year and your last year of teaching, how exciting.
