When I visited the school the next year, one of the teachers said, "The girls look like they've just come in from slopping hogs now!"

I do think it was good that both boys and girls learned how to dress nicely. Today, it seems like there's very little dignity in dress and grooming. But I am just an old lady now!
Rosie DeeRosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12851198467161002487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31522777.post-17290892995006320082016-11-04T04:27:42.166-04:002016-11-04T04:27:42.166-04:00Fantastic story. Strange how the times change and now everyone wears pants and they're so comfortable.
Hugs LindyLindy Thomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13859977416089280383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31522777.post-30689245718564969782016-11-03T10:15:24.488-04:002016-11-03T10:15:24.488-04:00I'm late to the party here, PK. :) I really e...I'm late to the party here, PK. :) I really enjoyed this story! I loved how you ended it, moving forward 70 years. Wonderful! Your historical note at the end, was interesting to read and think about as well! Fabulous Fantasy Friday! Thank you for coming back to this. I had never read it before. I eventually wore pants all the time in HS and later.
However as a young girl I was not allowed to wear a bikini. When I was 14 it really was a modest bikini! Lol. Never ever wore it later when I could have. I didn't believe it was as flattering to me as my very revealing one piece! Like Rosie, I also remember when the only way to wear pants to work was with an actual suit. Also remember when bare legs were a big no no as were open toed shoes. Up until about 10 years ago, my company still had a dress code that stated that shoes could be open toed or slingbacks but not slides. Thanks for a fun story, PK. ;)

Hugs and blessings...CatCathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14266606975978680188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31522777.post-5071488599113931562016-10-28T17:51:57.177-04:002016-10-28T17:51:57.177-04:00Oh, what a tease, I thought he was expecting to ca...Oh, what a tease, I thought he was expecting to catch her with another man. It's almost inconceivable now that women weren't allowed to wear trousers but I remember not being able to wear them in the office until 1973 - and they had to be trouser suits, not separates.
Rosie xxRosie Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00765687509366453029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31522777.post-83958998438690803782016-10-28T12:44:38.419-04:002016-10-28T12:44:38.419-04:00I remember this story and I enjoyed it just as muc...I remember this story and I enjoyed it just as much as I did when I first read it.
